Most surgical patients begin with an in-home pre-operative examination, allowing your pet to be evaluated in a comfortable, low-stress environment before surgery. Surgical procedures are then performed at our Dexter location, where patients receive attentive care and monitoring throughout their procedure and recovery. We provide safe, high-quality surgical care for dogs and cats, including spay and neuter procedures, mass removals, wound repairs, and select soft tissue surgeries.

  • Pre-Operative Exam is required prior to scheduling, conducted in your home by our veterinarian, to ensure your pet is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready for anesthesia.
  • We do not perform emergency surgeries.
  • We are unable to accept surgical vouchers at this time.
  • Final cost for all surgical procedures will depend on your pet’s weight category and any additional services requested or provided.
  • Most patients return home the same day with detailed aftercare instructions and any necessary medications.
  • Recheck appointments may be performed either in-home or at our Dexter location, depending on your pet’s needs.

New clients interested in surgical services should completed our New Client Notification List. We will use this list to contact prospective clients as openings become available. Surgical recommendations and scheduling are determined after the pet has been evaluated.

  • Every surgery is supported by a fully licensed veterinary technician who provides continuous anesthetic monitoring from induction through recovery.
  • We use IV Catheters, fluids, and advanced monitoring equipment to track heart rate, oxygen, respiration, blood pressure, and temperature in real time.
  • Your pet receives comprehensive pain management before, during, and after the procedure.
